David Cameron falls short of a majority

The exit polls from tonight’s general election seem to be indicating that David Cameron and the Conservative Party will win around 305 seats, Labour 255 and the Liberal Democrats 61 seats. As a consequence, it seems as though the UK is moving headlong towards a hung parliament although there is an outside chance that David Cameron could see a surge in support towards the end of the evening as the counting progresses.
